Product Description

Ingredients: Each drop supplies iodine (as potassium iodide): 640 mcg

Non-medicinal ingredients: Glycerine, purified water.

Suggested use: Adults: 1 drop daily in a glass of water, or as directed by your health care practitioner. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

The power of supplemental potassium iodide was demonstrated in a randomized controlled study on people with benign, solitary, solid, cold thyroid nodules. After 1 year, the group that had received potassium iodide presented an average 23% decrease in nodule volume (versus 40% nodule volume decrease for those treated with the drug levothyroxine, and a slight increase among untreated patients). The potassium iodide dose was unusually low: 2 mg every two weeks, not a daily dose. (Rosa et al, 1995)
